Two-Factor Authentication (abbreviated as 2FA), or two-step verification, adds an extra layer of security to your SFOR.TRADE account. 2FA means that when logging in you will be prompted to enter your email address, password and a one-time 2FA code from a second device, usually a smartphone.

This technology of providing user identification can easily be described as a combination of two different components, what you have (your phone) and what you know (your password).

Most people rely on only one level of security (password) because it seems convenient to them, which also makes it easier for intruders to break into your account.

With two-factor authentication, even if someone finds out your username and password without access to your smartphone, they won't be able to log into your account.

2FA codes are generated in a unique way for your account. They are for one-time use and expire in about 30 seconds. It is highly unlikely that you will use the same code to access your SFOR.TRADE account more than once.

Why is it important to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Email address and password pairs often become compromised because of numerous data leaks on third-party resources; the problem is exacerbated by the fact that people often reuse these pairs across multiple accounts, sites, and services. 2FA can help reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your account, even if your password is stolen or your email is hacked.

For your security SFOR.TRADE strongly recommends enabling 2FA on your account.Without 2FA your funds and some personal data are protected in safety equally as much as your login information (e-mail and password pair) is safe. You can easily enable 2FA on your profile page.

After you turn on 2FA in your SFOR.TRADE account, please print out the backup key and keep it in a safe place. This will save you the worry and replace it with the comfort of realizing that your account is as safe as possible - and that only you can log in to it.
